This diminutive wastebasket is just the right size for used tissues, scraps of paper, sewing cuttings, and other everyday bits of detritus. Measuring just 7 by 5-1/4 inches, the bin sits comfortably on a craft table, desk, or bathroom vanity. You can even keep it near the kitchen sink to collect coffee grounds for the compost bin. Made of stainless steel brushed to a contemporary matte finish, the wastebasket is comprised of a lid and base that pull apart for emptying. A round spring-loaded door in the center of the domed lid pushes open for depositing debris, then pops back into place when released. Wash the Pushboy by hand when necessary. A taller version, the Pushman, is also available. Blomus is the brand name launched in 2001 for innovative stainless-steel products by SKS-Design, a family-owned German design company now run by the family's fifth generation. Comprising more than 500 items for the modern kitchen, bath, bar, fireplace, office, and outdoor patio, Blomus products embody this philosophy: Good design is both simple to use and beautiful to look at.
